Bio

Trevor is currently CEO of GuraGear, LLC dba Tamrac., a camera bag and lifestyle company he co-founded in 2008. Trevor built the business from a small startup to a globally integrated business, through the 2014 acquisition and integration of Tamrac, Inc, historically the second-largest camera bag producer, in a bankruptcy sale. He personally led the investment and has managed subsequent capital raising rounds.

He was previously managing director at Compass Partners European Equity Fund. Compass is a mid-market manufacturing-focused leveraged buyout fund with a billion euros under management.

Prior to joining Compass Partners, he was a principal in Compass Advisors’ New York office. He worked on the firm’s principal investments and executed transactions across a broad range of industries and transaction types, primarily in consumer products and energy. Prior to Compass, he was a member of Schroders Global Energy and Power Group, where he completed numerous M&A, equity, and debt capital markets transactions.

Trevor was a member of Canada’s Senior A National Rowing Team, the Oxford University Boat Club, and Dartmouth’s Heavyweight Crew.

Trevor holds an A.B. in government from Dartmouth and studied postgraduate economics at Keble College, Oxford.
